Snake River
Conspiracy
Album Cover

Snake River Conspiracy was an alternative rock band formed in the late 1990s by musician and producer Jason Slater. The band gained popularity with their debut album "Sonic Jihad" in 2000, which featured the hit single "Vulcan." The album cover for "Sonic Jihad" depicted a provocative image of a woman in a burqa holding a bomb, which generated controversy and criticism. While the album cover may have been attention-grabbing, it was also widely criticized for its stereotypical and insensitive portrayal of Muslim women. In today's cultural climate, where inclusivity, diversity, and sensitivity are valued, it is important to recognize the negative impact that such images can have on marginalized communities. Therefore, a new album cover for "Sonic Jihad" would benefit from a more thoughtful and culturally sensitive approach.
The following is the Snake River Conspiracy album redesigned to give it a new fresh look while still honoring their music. A better design could still be attention-grabbing and visually compelling, but it would do so in a way that is respectful and inclusive.
